Privacy Statement

Keeping policyholder/customer information secure is a top priority for everyone at Oklahoma Attorneys Mutual Insurance Company (OAMIC). In the course of doing business with OAMIC, you provide nonpublic information to OAMIC. We are giving you this statement so that you will understand the types of information collected and how we handle this personal information. The statement is being provided in compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (Pub. Law 106-102).

Protection of Your Personal Information

We protect the personal information we collect by maintaining physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations. Access to nonpublic personal information about you is restricted to employees who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to you.

Information Collected

We collect only the information necessary to deliver responsive products and services to you. This may include advising you of other products or services that OAMIC offers. The information collected may include:

• Information received from you on applications or forms;
• Information about your transactions with us, affiliates or others;
• Information obtained when, defending lawsuits, adjusting claims, or when potential claims are reported to OAMIC;
• Information about your transactions with nonaffiliated third parties that we obtain from newspapers, other publications, or members of the public.

Use of Information Collected

OAMIC does not sell information about current or former insureds/customers to third parties. We do not share such information, except when it is required to complete transactions at your request, or to provide you with information relevant to your insurance needs.

We may contract with non-affiliated third parties to perform services for OAMIC. When necessary, we will only disclose the information necessary for the third party to carry out its agreed responsibilities. These third parties will be required to treat your personal information as confidential and to follow appropriate standards of security.

Finally, we will only release personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties if you request we do so, unless we tell you beforehand and provide you an opportunity to say no. We will not disclose the existence of coverage unless you request that we do so.

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our insureds/customers or former insureds/customers to anyone, except as stated above or as otherwise permitted by law.
